Hypnosis session in English

What is Hypnosis and how does it work?

Hypnosis offers an effective way to release problems and habits, or to help you cope better with anxiety or pain in direct dialogue with the subconscious. The positive changes that happen through hypnosis have a positive effect on your life.

Hypnosis is a natural state of selective, focused attention, and, even though it is 100% natural and normal. As long as there has been human beings, there has been hypnosis. Hypnosis or hypnotherapy, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration.

Everyone uses this natural state of mind unknowingly all the time. For example, when you are driving down the road, with your mind focused on some other task (a day dream perhaps), and next thing you know, you have passed your next turn. It’s that state you are in when you are watching TV, engrossed in a movie that makes you happy or sad, or while listening intently to music. It’s that state you are in when you are just waking up or just going to bed.

 “Will I be unconscious?”

The word hypnosis comes from the ancient Greek word ‘hypnos’ meaning sleep, but it is
mis-named. Hypnosis is NOT sleep. Hypnosis is not a state of being unconscious. And there is no loss of control. You do not lose consciousness. It is a state of deep relaxation or focused concentration instead. Hypnosis is the narrowing of thought, the focusing on one thing to achieve a goal.

If a person were to fall asleep during a session, they would
return to normal consciousness when asked to, or simply awaken after a short nap.
They would feel refreshed, relaxed and would have no ill effects at all.
